Sludgers Black Tusk are streaming their re-issue of ‘Passage Through Purgatory’ online, which will be released on May 24. The re-issue has been re-mastered, re-packaged and includes expanded Baizley artwork plus two bonus tracks.’Passage Through Purgatory’ was initially released in 2008 and was the band’s debut full-length.
They have also been named Best Local Metal Band back home, in Savannah, Georgia (USA).
On top of everything, Black Tusk will be entering the studio next month to start recording their new album, a follow-up to ‘Taste the Sin’, released in 2010. The yet-untitled opus is the third full-length, and they will be recording with engineer Jack Endino, who has previously worked with Bruce Dickinson.
The album is expected to be released around late autumn on Relapse.
